Melvin MacLeod first dreamed of a woodland community nearly 50 years ago when he and his wife Sheila, along with their business partner, purchased the property that is now Lake MacLeod. Mel and Sheila envisioned a community that took care with the natural environment, preserving the beautiful setting for generations to enjoy. Together, they built the centerpiece of this community, the picturesque 10-acre lake that sits in the heart of the valley, and lived on the hill over looking this beautiful vista.

Today, Shipley Brothers Development is fulfilling the original vision, building a pristine living environment that preserves its surroundings. The brothers, Tim and Neal Shipley, are committed to creating communities that embrace and blend with their natural environments.
